Romantic Spring Wedding at The Phoenician

The wedding of Jill & Allan was held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 at The Phoenician in Scottsdale. Spring is, by far, the most popular wedding season. The weather is always perfect for an outdoor ceremony (especially here in Arizona!).  The bride and groom chose to go with the refined pastel hues of blues, pinks and purples that are referenced when one thinks of springtime.

To compliment her gown, the bride carried a hand tied bouquet of white peonies, white Alabaster garden roses, lavender Sweet Pea, white ranunculus, Sterling roses, and white hydrangea.  The stems of the bouquet were wrapped with an ivory Luxé ribbon.  The bridesmaids carried smaller hand tied bouquets of light blue hydrangea, white and lavender freesia, Sweet Eskimo roses, Sterling roses, and Quicksand roses.  The stems of the bouquets were wrapped with Woad Blue double faced satin ribbon, which was highlighted by their deep sapphire dresses.  The groom wore a boutonniere of white freesia with an accent of lavender Sweet Pea and simple foliage with a black satin ribbon stem wrap.  The groomsmen wore boutonnieres of lavender freesia with simple foliage and a black satin ribbon stem wrap as well.

The ceremony was held on the Orchid Lawn; which created an idealistic atmosphere to be married.  The couple chose a natural and organic Dragon-wood framed chuppah for their traditional Jewish marriage ceremony. The top of the chuppah was adorned with a gathered organza fabric. The chuppah was covered in clusters of flowers and trailing foliage’s; such as branch ivy, variegated ivy, Italian ruscus, and the clusters included light blue hydrangea, white hydrangea, and antique green hydrangea.  The clusters were then accented with Sweet Eskimo, Quicksand, and Sterling roses. The aisle décor featured groupings of different height glass cylinders with ivory pillar candles and alternating wood planter boxes designed with white, antique green and light blue hydrangea with simple foliage.  Outlining the aisle were blush colored rose petals and the back of the aisle was ribboned off so that guests would seat from the sides; as to leave the aisle untouched.  Adorning the entrance to the aisle were two Lucite pedestals each with a cylinder vase filled with water and a floating rose head.  The vases were crowned with a rounded arrangement of light blue, white, and antique green hydrangea, Sweet Eskimo, Quicksand, White Dove, and Sterling roses with simple foliage.

After enjoying a spectacular cocktail hour, the guests entered into the Camelback Ballroom for the reception.  The reception tables featured three diverse style centerpieces.  The first style featured a glass cylinder vase with a strand of strung rose heads with pearl accents and topped with a lush cloud of antique green, white and light blue hydrangea, White Dove, Sweet Eskimo and Sterling roses with simple foliage. The base of the cylinder vase featured three ti-leaf lined cylinders with a pavé of white hydrangea with Sterling roses, light blue hydrangea with White Dove roses, and antique green hydrangea with Sweet Eskimo roses, as well as three fourteen inch candle stems with floating ivory candles.  The second style centerpiece featured a collection of three vases; a ti-leaf lined Diane pedestal vase with a lush pavé of white, light blue, and antique green hydrangea, a 5”x7” ti-leaf lined glass cylinder vase with light blue and antique green hydrangea, Sweet Eskimo, Sterling and White Dove roses, and a 4”x4” ti-leaf lined glass cylinder with a pavé of Sweet Eskimo, Sterling and White Dove roses.  This collection was accented with three different height candle stems with ivory floating candles.
